On Tuesday we reported on cocci, or Valley Fever, the infectious disease caused by tiny spores of a fungus that travel on the wind and invade the lungs. It is painful, it is deadly, and it's being noticed by the public. In 2011, an alarming rise in cases across the Southwest prompted widespread concern about the infection.
